The Meijer AAA Hockey Club, proud members of the NAPHL, are pleased to announce that 18U forward Ryan Hein has signed an NAHL tender agreement with the Fairbanks Ice Dogs. Fairbanks currently competes in the NAHL’s Midwest Division...

Hein, 17, is currently in his third season playing in the NAPHL and first season with the Meijer organization. The two previous seasons, Hein (5’11/160) has played with the Lansing Capitals.

The native of Chelsea, Michigan, was previously a tender of the Aberdeen Wings last season and began the season in the NAHL with Aberdeen, playing in four regular season games to begin the year. Hein then joined the 18U Meijer team for the last two events, where he has recorded eight points (6 goals, 2 assists) in 10 games played.

Last season, Hein had 19 points in 19 games played with the Lansing Capitals 16U team. He was also selected to play in the 2015 NAPHL 16U All-Star Game a year ago where he recorded a goal.

In 40 career NAPHL games, Hein has recorded 38 points, including 20 goals. He has also appeared in nine career NAPHL playoff games, recording six points.

Hein’s older brother, Ronnie Hein, also played in the NAHL during the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons.
