ShareMeijer 18U defenseman Rewerts signs NAHL tender with Shreveport

The Meijer AAA Hockey Club, proud members of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL), are pleased to announce that 18U defenseman Collin Rewerts has signed an NAHL tender agreement with the Shreveport Mudbugs, who are members of the NAHL’s South Division.Rewerts, 18, just completed his fifth season playing in the NAPHL for the Meijer/Lansing Capitals organizations, which began back during 2011-12 season as a Bantam Major.
The Native of St Johns, Michigan had his best career season in 2015-16 for Meijer 18U AAA team, recording 11 points in 24 regular season games, which he led the team in scoring for all defensemen. Rewerts (6'2" 194 lb) also had two goals in the six playoff games as Meijer made it to the 18U Championship.
In total, Rewerts appeared in 87 career NAPHL regular season games and recorded 34 points. In add ition he played 19 playoff games, recording five points.
Rewerts is the 7th player from Meijer AAA 18U team signing a NAHL tender this season, along with 4 players tendered in the NA3HL.
